I’m sitting here with my feet up taking a load off after putting the kids to bed and finishing off the garage cleaning that kept me busy this weekend. And of course I’m on the computer. Those of us cursed with full time work on a computer are among the few types of people who come home and can’t seem to stay away from their occupation. Can you imagine the McDonald’s guy coming home to make a few burgers? That’s so stupid. Why am I on the computer?

So I just realized I have this massive headache. And that the headache occurred while reading this massive pile of 200+ feeds in my feedreader. Ugh. Too much crap!

I liked it better when I just bookmarked 10 sites or so to open every day. Then I actually got some color in my life, not this mass of black text all formatted and styled the same. Not to mention the % of posts I’m actually interested in is dismally low.

Something needs to change with this RSS thing. I’m afraid we’re taking out most of the value that the web is offering and just making it more difficult to find what we’re really after..

Anyway, in the middle of this headache Gilberto popped in and sent over a few random links that were better than any feed in that dumb reader:

This Postal Service video for “We Will Become Silhouettes” is hilarious. Watch it over and over again, preferably over a mason jar of apple sauce. Brought to us by the minds behind Napoleon Dynamite.

And Gil’s ChaChing partner in crime (come on guys, revive the blog) runs another site called Amish Robot. His post on the Busiest Man Alive had me in stitches rivaled only by that Narnia clip. Awesome.
