Amazon.com has done some awesome things in terms of improving customer experiences online. Their product pages are full of helpful information, and they keep adding features that improve online shopping.

Though, I could (or should) certainly write another article on their patenting practices and how their innovations in e-commerce are actually thwarting improvement for all mankind since their patents prevent other online stores improving in similar ways—of course, that’s the point of the patent: drive all buyers to the superior Amazon experience.

But this post is reserved for a gripe! I tend to use the Amazon.com site search pretty frequently. And no matter how innovative their product pages are, sometimes I am searching for a product I know I want to purchase, and I have no need to peruse reviews or similar items or further details.

There’s no way to purchase now from the results. Is that the point? They want you to see all the related items in the product page and keep buying stuff? Whatever. Just let me get in and get out by adding a ADD TO CART button to the search results.
